Didn't see this one being discussed anywhere. This incarnation of Pyramid IMO is much better than the GSN Pyramid from a couple years back. The celebs and contestants were very good at the game (save one), and I liked the way tiebreakers were determined by the total amount of time taken for all 3 rounds. Strahan was a competent host as well, not too over the top but did provide some comic relief where warranted.

I enjoyed it, better than Donnymid or the GSN version. As for Strahan, I thought he was just OK as the host. Of ABC's three new hosts (Anderson, Baldwin, Strahan), he's probably the worst of the three so far IMO.

Similar to the MG thread. No spoilers please.

GSN's was a trainwreck. I don't even remember Donnymid that much. Strahan isn't that good as host. Best host goes to Alec. Personally, I wish they'd cancel Feud and GSN would quit playing it. Shoulda been canned after the Anderson version. And you got the host wrong. its Harvey, not Anderson. you're thinking of the host of To Tell The Truth.

Yes, he was thinking of Anderson on TTTT, who is one of ABC's three new hosts, just like he said. You were the one who brought Feud into the discussion.

Hands down, this is looking to be the best Pyramid revival we've had in a while. Donnymid was... eh, it was enjoyable. I stopped watching The Pyramid after a while; it just did not hold my interest. This new $100,000 Pyramid, though, is much better than I had initially thought it would be. Absolutely stellar gameplay (in most cases), super-awesome set, and Michael Strahan won me over as a host. This is one show I'll definitely be sticking around for.

Just saw that there are two threads. Merged.
Spoilers are cool, as long as they're in the proper format.

I can't begin to describe how thrilled I am with this new version of the show. It seems as though any issues I've had with the last two revivals have been put to rest here.
Good hosting, fun celebs, a good combination of the classic elements that made the show great back then plus necessary modernization but not too much. I'm so glad it's doing well too. Hope this show continues for years to come.

Loving this remake. Feels like I'm watching the Dick Clark versions all over again. Goes to show that sometimes, you don't have to change a thing, at least format-wise.

Some tough catergories in the WC today.
Is this too much of a spoiler?

Is this too much of a spoiler? If you have to ask, then it's probably a spoiler.

I wouldn't think that saying there were tough categories in the Winner's Circle would constitute that much of a spoiler.

Contestants and celebs tonight were horrible. I hope this isn't a trend and they haven't run out of competent players. Though next week out to be good with Weird Al playing.

On the plus side, the first $100,000 win happened. So it wasn't all bad.
