I think late in the 1991-92 season was the end of foreign cars on daytime TPIR until late in Drew's first season.

I wonder if the lack of foreign cars offered on TPIR between 1992 and 2008 was due to budget issues? If not, what was the reason?

It was not budget issues. There were no GM cars on the show from circa 1992-early 1996 due to them using animals in vehicle testing, as per a post in alt.tv.game-shows. Barker had the "no foreign cars" clause in his contract, as per Randy Amasia on ATGS. Whether them using animals in vehicle testing had anything to do it is unknown.

Moved a thread regarding foreign cars to the AP-Price thread, because it really had nothing to do with Buzzr or GSN. Come on, AstreKid103090. These threads are a lot easier.

Besides Side By Side getting made over and the Grand Game getting some touchups, the Card Game table became longer as of the 9/30/2019 episode, eschewing its usual shape for the past 45 years. It has the same logo it's had since 2014, however. Game still played in front of contestant's row. I never noticed that!

big money week. I kinda like the idea of a progressive jackpot rather than just giving the contestant the cash value of the prize Looks like Drew Carey forgot the 3 MDS when he made a comment about today's winner

Can we all agree that College Rivalry Week is the worst theme ever? I really don't like how contestants have to go back to their seat if their rival wins the IUFB. I know it's only once a year, but if you ask me, it's one time too many.

I noticed something interesting about Danger Price. I discovered some revolving red lights on the set behind some prizes, similar to those seen on the tops of older ambulances. Has anyone noticed them? I think they're pretty cool, considering the danger theme.
When did these red lights get first used?

Ah, now you know why some people (myself included) have taken to calling the game "Siren Price" Oh, and to answer your question, the lights have been there since 2012.

12/17/2012 is when the siren lights were added, as per TPIR Wiki

I never knew 2012 was when the siren lights debuted. Just goes to show how much I missed the show due to being at work every day since June 2010, not being able to wstch TPIR except on holidays and, in today's case, a snowstorm.

Zachary who played Pathfinder and lost on the 1/23/2020 episode also lost on Secret X "18 years ago", as there was a picture of him losing that game on his shirt. The 6/8/2001 episode, a recap of which is up at tpirepguide.com, has a Zachary losing Secret X with the X's on the board in the same positions the playing on his shirt were. Zachary won his Showcase Showdown on 6/8/2001 but did not win the Showcase.
