Just saw it starting. Glad I decided to continue recording Super Password. I bet Press Your Luck will be Episode 041 in less than an hour. I am thinking there is a greater number of episodes for both Super Password and Press Your Luck, as opposed to just a smaller number of episodes available for The All-New Let's Make a Deal. The smaller number of episodes available, the fewer episodes GameTV will acquire. I guess it's safe to say I won't be recording any more The All-New Let's Make a Deal for a while.
EDIT: Press Your Luck continues on, with #041 from November 14, 1983. Come Wednesday, the familiar contestant name tags debut, and the flashback intros have background music added.

I remember seeing on Buzzr's Facebook page, a video compilation that contains a clip from a Press Your Luck episode that Buzzr has skipped twice. The episode in question is #185, the June 5, 1984 episode. However, I did discover, when GameTV airs Press Your Luck, the final commercial break tends to be shorter than the others. Maybe this could mean the episodes skipped by Buzzr may end up airing on GameTV in Canada down the road, perhaps?
And I don't know how GameTV is going to handle Episode #182, if they get around to airing the full spectrum of May 1984 shows. I don't even know if GameTV would be willing to forfeit a commercial break because of a lengthy Round 2 in that episode, and when the champion is declared, the show ends. It would be quite interesting to see what happens, but it will be a while yet, the way things are going.

If the show even survives on the schedule considering the slow rate on which GAME TV adds episodes to their arsenal.

Just found out on Facebook now that "The All-New Let's Make a Deal" is leaving the schedule on October 8, and replacing it is "Wipeout". And before anybody freaks out, it's the series hosted by Peter Tomarken, according to the image, not the recent ABC reality show.
No other fresh classics to report. It just goes to show that shows that air in the 1:00 p.m. ET slot are not likely to last.

Wipeout? No way! First time in 27 years it's been run! USA reran it from 1989 to 1991.
CBS Television Distribution owns it. It was originally Syndicated by Paramount Television.

How many episodes did Wipeout 1988-89 make? I don't think it ran a full season. 130? There were episodes copyrighted 1989, they did a Halloween, and Xmas, and a New Years reference in their episodes. Perhaps Gametv will air the full series before dropping it, but they didn't make it through the full season two on Bumper Stumpers IIRC after airing all of season one.

Now that Game TV has acquired a CBS property, I hope they pick up the original The $25,000 Pyramid.
The one from the 70's with Bill Cullen, and in the Weekly Syndication Prime Access timeslot.

That would be solid because since it was weekly celebrities swap in and out faster for more general viewing appeal, plus you had celebrities like John Ritter on it. And the selfish me is like "and Garry Moore did some episodes too..."

Speaking of guides...did anyone keep track of what GameTV aired of Split Second and Talk About? I'm curious how much of each they aired and which episodes. How many episodes did Wipeout 1988-89 make? I don't think it ran a full season. 130? There were episodes copyrighted 1989, they did a Halloween, and Xmas, and a New Years reference in their episodes. Based on available episodes, repeats aired for a good chunk of December '88, including the Halloween show for some reason.

The fact they only picked up 40 episodes kind of gave it away they didn't have too much confidence in the show to begin with. I'm going to say something very unpopular, but I wish it was the ABC show with the big red balls. That Wipeout was miles better in my opinion. The Tomarken show is a giant turd in my eyes. Interestingly enough for the schedule advancing that far ahead shows the 1pm-4pm block on weekends is gone. Saturdays those spots are occupied by Funny You Should Ask (also a terrible show in my opinion), and Tom Bergeron's Hollywood Squares on Sundays. Interestingly enough, Celebrity Family Feud with the antichrist makes its debut on Game TV that week as well on Fridays and Sundays.

They did have an Xmas themed episode on 12/23/1988(Xmas was on Sunday that year), so the week of 12/19-12/23 was new episodes. THey referenced New years' on the 1/2/89 episode(NY Day was on Sunday in 1989), so that week was new episodes. KYW in Philly aired WIpeout at 4AM from 9/12-12/2/88, then brought it back it 11AM EST from 1/23/1989 through around June 1989. They aired the New Years' ep when they aired Wipeout at 11AM.

Just tuned in to Press Your Luck now. Christmas week 1983 just started today.
Christmas week 1984 of Super Password should start airing on Monday.
Match Game '75 is now into May, and knowing that Buzzr aired up to very early in July for 1975, I think there's a pretty good chance GameTV has access to six months' worth of episodes, and I bet the same will likely prevail for Super Password and Press Your Luck.
