Not sure about the air dates given above, as Jan. 16-20, 1986 was a Thursday-Monday, but the according to an episode guide I found online these calendar dates tie in closely to the episode#'s that just aired as part of the BW 100the birthday tribute, so I assume that is why his name came up now. Yeah, those should instead be January 14-17.

So Merle Glickman has appeared on GSN on at least 2 of these: Jeopardy! from April 6, 1993 and Millionaire with Meredith Vieira from June 2003. As for her $20,000 Pyramid appearances, if her appearances were back when the backwall was orange then those may not exist.

On tonight's Whew! is one Bruce Goldberg. He's said to be an independent music producer...if he is who I think he might be, he's had a decent production career in the years that followed: He would be executive producer at American Top 40 for much of Shadoe Stevens's tenure as host (which is why the name rings a bell), and I'm also seeing that he executive produced Scott [Shannon] and Todd [Pettengill] In the Morning on New York's WPLJ from September 2001 to September 2006, and would later oversee the launch of GSN Radio in 2008.

Charles Pomeroy "Pom" Skoda who won $25K on $25K Pyramid on the 4/4/1988 second CBS debut also lost on Card SHarks on April 10-11, 1986. He died in 2008 in a private plane accident at age 50

So, I turn on Buzzr and Password Plus was on - and whose name should I hear said, but Donna Diken. (Last name spelling is a guess.)
I look up her Password Plus episodes - on today was 12/7/1979, turns out she's also on the 6th and is defeated on the 10th. (And is on the 5th, but the 5th isn't online, which I can only assume Buzzr skips it.) And apparently wasn't the brightest contestant? Or maybe Debralee Scott wasn't the brightest player. Or something...somewhere along those lines. That's just based on what I'm seeing in comments, but I'm about to watch those episodes myself to see.
In the meantime, apparently she got better somewhere along the way, or the comments exaggerated - because she goes on to hit for $10,000 on the $100,000 Pyramid eight years later (12/1/1987) - managed to qualify for the tournament for about two weeks until Tom Cavanaugh came along. (ETA: She won $11,100 total that day, taking both bonuses with the Mystery 7 being a trip to Hong Kong.)

Let me inform you also that Donna Diken was also on Body Language in April 1985(was partnered with Vicki Lawrence on episode #217/April 4 in which she had her first loss, Charles Nelson Reilly on #218/April 5 where she’d return after Teen Week, JoAnne Worley on #219/April 15 and Anson Williams on #220/April 16 where she had her second loss). Now Brendan, correct me but for Body Language, I'm guessing the first Teen Week was VTR'd on March 16, 1985, then Martha Smith and Ed Begley Jr. week was March 17, then Vicki Lawrence and Charles Nelson Reilly week was March 30.

The first Password Plus episode Buzzr aired Sunday night featured Bob Spaziano, aired on January 14, 1981, taped December 1980. In this one, he only won $100, but he later became champion on Child's Play in August 1983 after the last champion retired undefeated, he maybe the highest money winner for a male player on that show, but he was definitely on the Blockbusters reboot with Bill Rafferty in January 1987.
