Also, regarding The All-New LMAD, when contestants were involved in the Door #4 deal, were those contestants still in the running for the Big Deal (unless they spin a Zonk on the Dealer Wheel)?

I don't remember seeing any episodes where it came up, but I don't see why it wouldn't. Of note: at least once, the trader picked by Door #4 had already been in a deal earlier in the show. (EDIT: Ryan Rinkerman's great Season 1 guide lists an instance in #111, which began with Karen, Robin, and a gift certificate; Karen played Door #4 a bit later.) [DOUBLE EDIT (8/17/16): Added link to Ryan's guide. I originally made this post on my 3DS, so I couldn't add links.]

You would think they'd remove contestant numbers from the rotation in the event Door 4 was played...

From yesterday: A lady (silver-dressed martian or alien) is picked for a game. Wayne asks what her name is. There's a name tag.
Really... The only time a contestant has to say their own name is if it's something Wayne will have trouble pronouncing. Other than that, it shouldn't be too hard for someone to move part of their costume so he can read the damn tag.

No, Wayne. People just can't own a Zonk. You literally said "take home" when it came to something that's a glorified joke prize.

Um...unless something changed, this version's Zonks are there as gags and absolutely nothing more (previous versions had them as stuff you could legitly take home if you insisted on it). Zonks weren't always outlandish items that are obviously Zonks, either: in the 1970s, Zonks could be a package of Tootsie Rolls inside a treasure chest, or a coonskin hat inside a Small Box, or seven garbage cans (one for each day of the week) behind a Big Box of Creamettes/Eskimo Pies. Zonks could also be stuff like a box of Mars Almond bars or Downyflake waffles that gets passed from person to person throughout an episode but only has $10 inside. What I'm saying to the current version is...mix it up every once in a while.

Yeah, lately the zonks have been lame and lack variety. It's disappointing to be honest because I feel that the zonks are the best part of the show. Seeing what crazy thing hides behind a box, curtain, etc always intrigues me. However, some of these newer zonks have been uncreative (seriously, dancing pants? Come on now). Like Wario said, mix it up.

Someone earlier in the thread mentioned the 2003 version had Zonks that took the route of "It's a car! *wrecking ball drops onto it*" I'd love variety in Zonks, but I don't want it to come from smashing perfectly serviceable prizes...or, for that matter, Chuck Barris' ideas for The New Treasure Hunt Season 5 (like showing a Cadillac or Rolls-Royce but revealing the contestant's prize was actually the rear-view mirror or some barely-visible trinket sitting on top; host Geoff Edwards heard that and straight-up quit, leading Barris to can the show after Season 4). That's why I was mini-ranting about it. Wayne said it straight up. I just repeated it. Fair enough.

Yeah, there's literally a zonk showing someone dancing, but the person is cut out and only the pants are showing, hence the name "Dancing Pants". It's really dumb if you ask me.

A card with a trip to Australia and $3,000 hidden behind a grill was today's big deal. This before the contestant won a measly electric scooter.
I can't believe the show still pulls this crap.

I can't believe the show still pulls this crap. This was the rare day I took off for trying to get personal matters taken care of, so this was what I was subjected to. Hooray, assholes at CBS trying to think this kind of thing is entertainment!

Anyone else notice all the LMAD stickers being slapped onto logos of peoples' costumes lately? I think last week a contestant wearing a Superman shirt had the S blocked by a LMAD sticker. It's happening a lot this year. Are the producers really that paranoid about copyright? I know the copyright monster is scary (just ask people on YouTube), but still, I think they're taking this too seriously.

I think they should put out a memo to everyone who wants to get tickets: NO VISIBLE LOGOS.
(Or it could be worse - everyone could be dressing up as Car Pong, as one lady did last week.)

I'd like to ask a question regarding the Wayne Brady version.
I have observed on The All-New Let's Make a Deal (1984-85 season) that the non-car prizes inside small boxes were usually in hundreds of dollars, sometimes larger, and behind the curtain or inside a big box is usually a prize package consisting of two or three prizes totalling $1,000 through the $2,000 range.
But what I'd like to ask is, what were the price ranges for non-car prizes offered inside small boxes, behind a curtain, or inside a big box in the Wayne Brady version? And what was the range of cash usually offered by Wayne? I know in one deal where a car was offered, a $2,000 cash option was offered when one step away from winning the car.
I am leaning towards as little as $3,000 but no more than $6,000.
