right I would of been satisfied with just that, a heart felt open with Wayne facing the camera, not this BS that Barker did for Roddy that sounded forced

Nearly every day I watch Let's Make A Deal this week I've noticed that they are having a game where a clip from one of Let's Make A Deal's episodes from the first seasons to last year's season and after the clip is shown Wayne asks the contestant questions related to that clip and if the contestant gets the answer right they win cash. Is LMAD planning a special episode because Wayne keeps mentioning it every day this week? Kelsey

I saw LMAD's special episode today and was impressed by it. Here's a recap of it if anyone missed it We started off with the first deal with a special cake but we learned that there's a special prize inside the cake and our first trader Justee decided to take it at first then two traders decided to try for it and Marie won a trip to Hawaii and then for Ginger she got lucky by taking the cake and found $15,000 inside and as for Justee she won an ATV. Then we were shown a clip from a previous season in honor of this special day which involved a contestant answering questions devoted to the clip which the contestant got right but chose the curtain but got zonked. Then we saw a debut of a brand new game called Windfall which is really cool. After many more deals our winning player went for the Big Deal and saw a trip to Spain a barbecue set and the Big Deal was a car and everything in the Big Deal and $15,000 as the cash prize Congratulations to LMAD for reaching an incredible milestone in the show's history and here's to many more fun seasons in the future Kelsey

Does Anyone Remember 70s Syndicated Run on The Family Channel in the mid 90?
I Understand That They Were Edited.

The Family Channel game show reruns from 1993-1996 were edited in order to fit in promos for the Trivial Pursuit and other interactive game show playbreaks. Even after the interactive game show playbreaks ended on 12/30/1994, the game show reruns were still edited(Trivial Pursuit classic game remained in reruns through Summer 1995). The fee plugs were edited out of all the game show reruns, however all the game shows FAM aired in afternoon reruns at that time had their fee plugs coming out of commercial breaks(LMAD had fee plugs coming out of the second commercial break in the 1985-86 season). Lange Name that Tune saw the ticket plug at the end of the show cut out. Parts of some deals on LMAD(1971-77 syndicated and 1984-86 syndicated) were cut out. The 90 second plugs for the grand prize package announcements on $100,000 Name That Tune(Lange) were also cut out of every show except for the tournament final. THey also didn't show the mid show commercial bumper that the original airings of 1984-86 LMAD had, which either gave the ticket address or had Brian or Dean mention the big deal was coming up next(1980-81 LMAD theme played during the bumper). The only rerun show that Family Channel seemed to leave intact is 1987 Split Second. The US airings of the show had multiple choice questions coming out of commercial breaks where the Canadian airings(such as seen on Game TV recently) had fee plugs and some Canadian-centric plugs that were not seen on US airings.

I moved a thread about classic LMAD to the AP thread in the Modern section.
Does anyone want me to make an AP thread for Monty's version, and move all posts about it there?

Why does it always seem like black people are the ones playing for a car? I think it's ridiculous.

I couldn't find an all-purpose thread for older versions, so I made a new thread.
Anyways, a YouTuber by the name of Sdrawkcab says there's a possibility the season 2 tapes don't exist anymore, and the reason is because it's The Family Channel's fault. Here's what he says:
"Well, this is just my own speculation. Any chance Family Channel messed up the masters when they hacked them down to fit in their playbreaks, thus the show wouldn't fit in a normal time window?"
I find this speculation hard to believe. Because it wasn't just season 2 of TANLMAD they did this to, but also season 1, the 70's Syndicated LMAD, Face the Music, 80's Name That Tune, and Split Second, and those shows very much exist.

GSN at the time they picked up LMAD only picked up portions of the run. 2001-2002 they aired about 2/3 of the 70s syndicated episodes. In Fall 2002 GSN picked up the rest of the 70s episodes and the 1984-85 All New LMAD season. GSN never decided to pick up the 1985-86 season is most likely the case. And Buzzr stopped airing classic LMAD before they could convert any 1985-86 episodes of LMAD. Note that the first airings of LMAD on Family CHanel in June 1993 was the 1985-86 season, then by late 1993(LMAD aired twice a day starting in Sep 1993) they went to the 70s episodes, and then sometime in 1994 they first aired the 1984-85 season. For Crosswits 1986 and Face the Music FAM cut out the parting gift plugs, which on those were done coming out of commercial breaks. For Split Second 1986 I don't think they cut anything out of the airings as they aired in the US(Canadian airings, including the GameTV reruns, had fee plugs coming out of commercial breaks where the US saw multiple choice questions). For Name that TUne 1984 the fee plugs which were done coming out of commercial breaks were edited out, as was the $100K prize package plugs, which took 90 seconds. IIRC they did show the prize package plugs on tourney finals episodes. They also edited out the contestant plug for Name that Tune 1984 which was done at the end of the show after the copyright date was seen on air.
At least one 70s syndicated LMAD episode never aired on GSN or BUzzr: A couple(the Greenfields were their name IIRC) who traded a $9K Cadillac to go for the SUper Deal and won. Clips of that were seen in the 900 number game infomercial in the early 90s and the episode was seen on FAM.

Regarding 70s LMAD, did GSN or Buzzr ever air the 1973 and 1974 episodes?

Buzzr aired only episodes from the first two syndie seasons of LMAD and the few dozen 1985 episodes they aired. GSN aired all of the 70s syndicated episodes, save for one that FAM aired where a couple risked a $9K Cadillac to go for the Super Deal. GSN didn't pick up the 1973-74 or 1974-75 seasons until one year after they first started airing LMAD, when they also picked up the 1984-85 season
