Here you can talk about the GSN original ''Idiot Test'' (or ''Idiotest'', however GSN brands it) which debuts tonight, 12 August, at 9pm ET/8pm CT.

I'm interested to see how this show works, but there's one problem: it airs the same time America's Got Talent is on. Gonna have a hard time keeping track of both shows at the same time.

I thought it was pretty cool. I did pretty good at it, which not only impressed the keeper of the twitter feed... But also the show's host as well.

Copy/pasting the thoughts I put on Twitter last night:
It's a cool format, I will admit. However, I feel it could benefit from more puzzles in each round. It's a bit anticlimactic. The payouts are a bit low, and it's especially vibrant given the show it follows. Ben Gleib is so-so. Overdoes the attempts at humor. I think he's trying too hard.
Overall, I give it a 5.5/10. It's a neat format, a new way for game shows. But it's cheap and Gleib I think is forcing things. It's okay enough, though, to warrant some more watching from me. Maybe Gleib will improve in the later episodes.

I too thought the game was a little too slow-paced. Maybe some more head-to-head solving where opponents face off against each other simultaneously with the same puzzles. Also, the end game is anti-climactic and too easy.

I like this show, but Ben Gleib tries too hard to be funny. I think he'll improve, though.

Time for my honest opinion here:
I'm going to say right now that this kind of game has been needing to be played for some time. The puzzles actually make you turn around and think -- sometimes there is a kick to it, other times there actually isn't. (for instance, during the debut episode, the painting question was very straightforward).
The format does work, although I think too much pressure is put on time. For instance, the first puzzle is worth $300 with $20 taken away every second. This is fine. However, who is going to get the puzzle in less than 1 second? The first few seconds of the puzzle simply need to be done in order to look at the puzzle itself. This is annoying.
The host, Ben Gleib, is a nice enough person but I think that he tries way too hard in order to channel an anti-host like George Gray. He should just let the comments come instead of forcing them. To that extent, I won't go so far as to say he annoys me but he puts me an awful lot in mind of Billie Joe Armstrong.
That said, I think the show does need room to improve but it in no way is a bad show.
Out of a possible 10 points, I give it a rating of 6.5.

I saw Idiot Test for the first time when I got up from my Saturday nap and I think it could be a little better and it sounds cool but the format sounds like something Nickelodeon could have made for kids in a kids game show. The host Ben Gleib is cool but GSN could've brought in someone like Mark L Walberg or Todd Newton to host Idiot Test and that would have been awesome indeed. The bonus round is a great idea but they should've made the top prize bigger like 25,000 or even 30,000 would be awesome to win. Other than that the puzzles on Idiot Test are pretty wonderful and easy to solve and even my father managed to guess one I gave him right away. I think GSN may have another winner on their hands if Idiot Test does well in ratings, Overall Grade B, Kelsey

So far, what's been your favorite puzzle on Idiotest?

I can't really pick a favorite puzzle, but a favorite puzzle type, such as the kind where you need to look for a pattern to find the answer (such as the one with the crayons having the last letter of their color name on them, or the one asking to find the down arrow in a jumble of arrows).

Is Idiot Test also gonna get renewed for a second season? Because I know Idiot Test is the second monster hit for GSN other than The Chase and I know that Idiot Test has gotten awesome reviews. Has anyone heard any news yet, Kelsey

Honestly, I'd like to see him have to take the tests. I think he would falter under pressure.
