The USC vs. UCLA episode was abysmal. I recall failing a couple of those tests, but those players kept messing up hardcore.

How about the guy this week who claimed to be a know-it-all but missed the easiest final puzzle in the history of the game? The question was "What time is it?" and had three shops, one was open from 9 A.M. to 6 P.M., the second was open 24/7 and the third was open from 6 P.M. to 2 A.M. -- since all three shops were open, it had to be 6:00 p.m.

Take a little time to think it through and it's an easy question.

The host, Ben Gleib, is a nice enough person but I think that he tries way too hard in order to channel an anti-host like George Gray. He should just let the comments come instead of forcing them. Agreed. The problem with trying to be like George Gray on "Weakest Link" is that George did it so well, you'll almost always pale in comparison.

Now that Idiot Test is a hit for GSN I would like to know more about Ben Gleib? Is he a comedian/actor and has he been in movies too?. I had never heard of Ben before GSN launched Idiot Test and it's surprises me that he's one of GSN's favorite stars now, Kelsey

I moved your thread, ladykelsey. Post things in their show discussion threads.

GSN makes little poster-graphics that say when their shows air. Confirmed from GSN's Twitter:

Now that Idiot Test is a hit for GSN I would like to know more about Ben Gleib? Gleib (shortened from Gleiberman) is a standup comic who appeared many times on the Chelsea Lately talk show. His ultimate goal is to host his own late-night talk show. I've been watching Idiot Test episodes on YouTube, and I enjoy the show, but the scoring format seems silly, overloading the value of the final question to create suspense. Imagine if game show producers ruled the world. NFL touchdowns would be worth 50 points in the final two minutes. Election results would count triple in the final hour of voting. Liver transplants would be awarded based on knowledge of true/false questions about the career of Britney Spears. (Hmm, that last one is not actually a bad idea.)

I do not know about anyone else here, but Idiotest has grown on me. When the show started to moderate/good ratings in total viewers (but rather good in the 18-49 demo, which is ultimately why Idiotest got a second season), I thought Idiotest would dip later on and become a one-and-done like Lingo (Engvall) and The Pyramid but become a reliable place filler in reruns for weekday ratings (like Lingo and The Pyramid after their respective cancellations). As the months went on, Idiotest grew on me and I started watching more episodes.
The puzzles make you think, the format is cheap and almost anyone decent can host the show.
For anyone wondering, all new episodes (40) from the first season of Idiotest averaged 373,000 total viewers. Idiotest peaked at 561K and its lowest point was 245K.
As for the format, there should be more puzzles earlier on. I don't like how a duo can be down the whole game and lock in the last puzzle correctly with $2,000+ (the puzzle that starts at $2,500). I definitely like the ticking down with money instead of seconds. We will have to see this coming summer if there are changes.

Buzzerblog reports that there's a Craigslist ad for a child's version (11-16 years) of Idiot Test.

Be sure to watch this week's episode of Idiot Test because for the first time ever Idiot Test will have it's first ever celebrity edition with your favorite celebrities playing for charity. I can't recall what celebrities will be playing Idiot Test but it looks cool from the preview I saw during Catch-21 last week, Kelsey

Just happened to notice the name on this thread was technically incorrect; I merely changed it to the spelling used on the show itself.
Carry on. 8^)

...Although if we take the logo at face value, it's actually Id!otest. I know I'm responding to this about six months late, but looking at the spoilered info I think the answer is probably closer to "trick question". If Store #1 closes at 6:00 PM, then it's only really open until 5:59. If it's still open at 6:00, then it might mean that some people are still shopping inside (due to long lines at the checkout or somesuch) and hence the store stays open until everybody's finished and out, at which point the doors are locked and the store is closed. As such, I don't really think there's an actual answer to the question.
