THey might not be able to run LMAD in certain time slots where the current version is running on CBS.

Anyone got the Game TV airing of today's episode of Split Second? Seems like Buzzr felt something was offensive and muted what Claudette said when asked which group of foreign students found it the toughest to learn English. She said "____ students or Arabic speakers".

Back to back fee plugs of Blockbusters during the closing credits Monday and Tuesday! Maybe Buzzr decided to keep them in after all. Could be a good sign. If they can only keep the fee plugs for Match Game/Hollywood Squares hour because that theme is awesome in the background.

Pat & Liz McCarthy start their run at the end of this episode of Blockbusters.
What an amazing mother and daughter they were. Margaret van der Bie, Liz's niece stated in a YouTube comment that Pat, her grandmother, passed away peacefully in 2011. These days, Liz is VP at a New Jersey Fortune 500 Company. Recently, Liz played on Jeopardy! on March 8, 2018. She lost, and was trailing by $400. One more correct answer and a proper wager might have given her the win. Liz stated that her mother was on the original Tic Tac Dough in 1959, winning $50,000. It's unclear if Barry & Enright predetermined her outcome or not.

Thank you for not spoiling the episode itself as I won't be able to see it until later tonight.

We're getting to a really good part of Blockbusters. I remember being disappointed 15 years ago when it was on GSN because the show was only on weekends.

I suspect Buzzr has converted the full 20 episode Mccarthy run, but we'll see.

Buzzr has been fading episodes of Match Game early to avoid Johnny O saying "Stay tuned for Tattletales next over most of these CBS stations." Do they think the announcement would confuse people into thinking they're watching CBS and/or that Tattletales is next? Sometimes, Buzzr!

Which is why I think it's an insult to my intelligence; they think I'm too dumb to know that this isn't the CBS of 1976.

Do they think the announcement would confuse people into thinking they're watching CBS and/or that Tattletales is next? Sometimes, Buzzr! Just wondering... how long has this been happening? Has it just been a couple or so episodes? I've seen a few episodes of MG'7x and Tattletales that run long during various points of the show's runs and have faded out right when the announcer says "it's a Goodson-Todman production" or when the CBS TV City logo comes on; and this was before Buzzr was even thought of.
I know they've been cutting little extra stuff as of lately but it just doesn't make sense that the same network would be anxious to trim voiceovers but leave in actual CBS promos for The Dick Van Dyke Show during b/w Password.
ETA: I just read more about this in the MG thread. I'm glad they're not squeezing or cutting the credits altogether like GSN, but still, this is a little bit excessive for reasons listed here. We know not to expect The Secret Storm, Tattletales, or Musical Chairs to be coming on next.

It's been this new batch. It's not really THAT noticeable beyond losing the closing Match Game logo. The thing that bugs me about all this stuff is that Buzzr's consistency is their inconsistency. I don't know how they master their shows, but it seemingly changes episode to episode and moment to moment. As you said, it doesn't make sense to do this, but include full commercials during the black and white shows (not complaining that they do!) But it's more they'll cut the plug after the bonus round for Classic Concentration for a handful of episodes and then forget about it. One week of Blockbusters doesn't have fee plugs and then the following week - from the same batch of shows - does have them. If they can be included one week, why were they cut the other week, and vice versa?

There are a LOT of people out there with cognitive impairments of various kinds -- dementia is an obvious example. Buzzr's viewership probably includes a non-trivial number of them, especially Alzheimer's patients who probably respond well to the familiarity of shows, celebrities, and aesthetics from their younger days.
I can easily imagine them getting confused by contestant plugs and "coming up next" announcements -- which isn't to say that Buzzr should cut those things out, of course: I'd rather they kept everything from the original. But it probably leads to a non-zero number of angry emails, phone calls, misdirected letters, etc.
It makes me think of Nigerian spam emails: the fact that they're so stupidly written is a feature, not a bug, because it filters out everyone but cognitively impaired people and the terminally naïve, who are the only ones who'd stick with the scam through its later phases anyway.
So, too, do GSN and Buzzr make these cuts -- assuming they're not just to fit in more ads -- not because they think you or I are stupid, but because they know how many of their viewers just don't have all their marbles anymore.
