This is part of the Strong Museum of Play's game show museum. Christian Carrion is interviewing certain contestants from the past on his Tell us About Yourself podcast. Perhaps Barbara is one of the people he is interviewing and the episodes came from Barbara herself. |

That Final Jeopardy clip from the Robair Clip Tape (5 hours, 46 minutes in the video) is now confirmed to be from her second game on 3/7/1986. In one game she did challenge a clue for its pronounication and was awarded $600 for the error
Blooper reel nomination during one of the clues: “Barbara: [Cackling with laughter before and after her response] Who are [*]?)“

Jeopardy Masters is coming this Spring to ABC primetime, Ken will be hosting and Matt Amodeo, Sam Buttrey, ANdrew He, James Holzhauer, Mattea Roach, and Amy Schneider, will face off against each other. Essentially five of the 2022 TofC's semifinalist and James H. No word on another Battle of the Decades tourney for season 40.

Only two episodes each, and one was a no-stakes exhibition. Plus it's fun to bring in James to compete against the new generation of champions. |

Well, I don't think we're aware of the format for this special yet.
I think that once we're aware of what it's going to look like, then we can start talking about what it's similar or not similar to. Until then, it's best that nobody tries to think they know how it's going to run.

As per the Jeopardy website, Today's(4/17) episode has three new players. Ben Chan, who won his third game on Friday, isn't scheduled to be on today's show due to illness. As per Jboard, he will return on 5/15

I have noticed that the Overheard! page on Jeopardy.com has not updated in over a month. The last new entry was on March 16, 2023. This is disappointing to me, as I enjoy watching these segments. I liked it when this part of the show was included as part of the prime time specials the MB was hosting, and frankly I wished they would post Overheard segments for every episode. It's clear that the host and contestants are chatting during the closing credits, and KJ has even referred to these conversations during his opening spiels. I hope they come back soon.

It was recommended I post this in a thread that hasn't been active since 2018, a thread that seems like it's in the wrong place for a discussion about Jeopardy. So here's my second attempt at promoting my recent podcast interview with a recent Jeopardy champion. This seems like the place for a one-off promotion. ----------- My non-game show podcast delves into the world of game shows now and then. I did an episode about PYL/Michael Larson years ago, after seeing a local theatrical production telling his life story. How about that? I spent too long talking about Match Game once, in my opening monologue, although there was a greater purpose to it ultimately. But I still should have cut my synopsis down to five minutes. And there was the time I remembered Alex Trebek, after remembering Tom Kennedy. All that said, much to my surprise, I have interviewed four Jeopardy contestants on my podcast.
