Found another VTR date. A contestant on the 5/26/86 episode of "The $25,000 Pyramid" says that she'll be getting married on June 29th, adding that it's in six weeks and two days. Dick Clark corrects her, saying that as of the air date of the show, it's actually closer than that. Doing the math, that puts the Teresa Ganzel/David Graf week taping on May 16, 1986.

It has been awhile, but I am back.
I just remembered another category that seems very difficult:
THINGS THAT ARE OUTRAGEOUS
I am just not sure what to say for that.

Bette Midler's Fortune would have been a timely clue if it's the $100K Clark era, as Outrageous Fortune came out circa 1987

Last night, I watched a November 1984 episode with Patricia Klous (of The Love Boat) playing. I forgot. What were the final talies of her second and last appearance against Robert Mandan for the week of April 29, 1985 for her and Robert?

What were the final talies of her second and last appearance against Robert Mandan for the week of April 29, 1985 for her and Robert? $13,700 for Pat (a $10K win was wiped out by a $25K win by Robert on Wednesday), $31,300 for Robert.

And yet, the March 3, 1986 TV Guide listed Patricia Klous in there but was replaced at the last minute. The December 16, 1985 week was kinda packed, since Stuart Damon was on All Star Blitz that week where he should belong but the $25,000 Pyramid should've booked for that week, Bill Beyers, Ed Nelson or even Frank Runyeon.

Not often a star from a soap opera was on a daytime game show airing on another network.

Thanks to a newspaper article about a contestant's appearance, we now know that the Betty White/Nipsey Russell week of "The $25,000 Pyramid" taped on June 14, 1984.

Was the contestant the $25,000 winner with Nipsey Russell (later in flashback intros)? Also, that may have been the longest dry spell of $25K wins, between that and Mary Cadorette's in October.

She's from earlier in the week. Her win wasn't made into an opening clip. The woman you're referring to won her $25K on the Friday show.
There's a possibility that there was a $25K win on the Friday episode of the second Roxie Roker/Marla Gibbs week. USA didn't rerun that episode, nor did they air the Monday show from the next week. That would still be a pretty long stretch between $25K wins, though.

Here's an interesting question I have about the 1980's $100,000 Pyramid: In Broadcasting Magazine for September 16, 1985, it said that it would start off with 20 weeks of first run and 6 weeks of repeats. Then on December 23 of that same year, it said that it was renewed for another 26 weeks, based on its solid performance in October and November.
So did Bob Stewart Productions count the first 100 episodes (all taped in 1985) as Season 1? Very odd fashion, if that's true.

I don't know, but $100,000 Pyramid did show new episodes in August in 1986, 1987, and 1988, and was one of the few syndicated game shows to have new episodes in August.

Excellent. So it appears the second CBS Daytime portion GSN didn't get around to showing was taped from April to August 1987. And that would put the first one being taped from October 1983 to April 1985.

And that would put the first one being taped from October 1983 to April 1985. Might have even been November 1983 for the first batch, as they were sometimes taping a few days before the Monday air date at this time. I may be able to get a VTR date for the Vicki Lawrence/Charlie Siebert week, which was the last 1983 week that GSN showed episodes from.
Not sure when the Anne Bloom/Ed Begley Jr. week was taped, which was the last 1987 week that GSN didn't show. It's possible that it was taped in September.
