pyramidfan I remember two years ago, you asked me if I was sure The $20,000 Pyramid didn’t have any postponements in 1978. Well, Chuck Donegan just posted #79-066/#1279 on Dailymotion, and it did indeed air on April 30, 1979. Included are promos for Beach Patrol and Samurai, and both of them did indeed air that day. Don’t mean to go off-topic, but Family Feud aired a half hour prior, and had four postponements between May 5, 1978 and September 24, 1979. The $20,000 Pyramid had none whatsoever between November 25, 1977 and May 1, 1979.

Just found another celebrity substitution: For the week of February 18, 1980, Joan Van Ark is listed in one newspaper as Robert Mandan's opponent on "The $20,000 Pyramid," but Brynn Thayer is said to be the female celebrity in other newspapers and in TV Guide. Although I have no confirmation of that listing, since there is no known record of Joan appearing on the show during the Bob Stewart years, I have to think that the Brynn Thayer listing is correct.
Joan did appear on Donny Osmond's version in early 2004 -- just about 24 years later. As far as amount of time elapsed between being booked for the show and actually doing it, this easily beats the previous record of 12 years that Marcia Wallace held.

The White/Farrell episode had four tiebreakers total in it, which IIRC ties the record of the CBS $25K run with the Miller/Fox episode the previous Summer. The USA airdate for the episode would have been circa July 1992.

Brendan, a woman named Kim Hanstein Roberts just posted on a game show group I frequent. She said that she was the one who won $20,000 with Sal Viscuso in June 1979. It was the Tuesday episode.

When was the Mary Cadorette/Danny Breen episode where DB only got 1 item in the first round? Week of Aug 18-22, 1986. GSN skipped the Monday and Tuesday episodes of that week, so I don't know the exact date of that. Danny was completely shut out, meaning he never made it to the Winner's Circle.

Just found another instance of celebrity replacement. In a Minneapolis newspaper, Joyce Bulifant is listed as Robert Walden's opponent on "The $20,000 Pyramid" for the week of March 3, 1980. Gina Hecht ended up playing that week.
Gina had been on the show only four weeks prior, and for a long time, I found her quick return visit to be odd. Now I know why she was back so soon.

Watching Match Game/Hollywood Squares with Charlie Siebert today, and sporting a beard, I wonder: Did he also have one in June 1984 on $25K Pyramid? He had one during the very last week, I know for sure.
