Memory Lane had the 5/9/1989 episode in a video alongside that day's Scrabble but the video is no longer on their Youtube page That video and the entire channel are now gone. Well, the channel is still active but now he went to sports prediction videos.

A rarity: the last two numbers left on the fully revealed board in the first rebus round on today's 1PM CC episode were two Wild Cards.

What did Alex say about Brett previously being on the show two years ago? I didn't catch that.
At least I got to see both car wins; Thursday didn't have one, apparently.

So I guess "Happy Birthday to Us" was used at least three times, including the 1,000th show on April 23, 1991. Don't know if it would have been used on May 03, 1991, though. May 5 and 8, 1989 are from the original broadcasts as well.

I remember someone posted two episodes of his mother on the show, but I can't seem to find them on YouTube anymore. On one of them, Marc Breslow's birthday was acknowledged. Apparently, they aired during the July 24-31, 1989 week, based on the excel notes and based on the presence of these cars:
Honda CRX SI Hyundai Sonata Ford Mustang Chevrolet Astro Cargo Van Oldsmobile Delta 88 Pontiac LeMans Jeep Wrangler Mitsubishi Mirage

Dozens of rebuses have been used in the opening at least three times, but I have not seen any rebus used in game play that has been used three times. In fact, it has been rare so far for a rebus used in game play to have been used previously, but it has happened.

Judging from Alex's opening comments on the episode I'm watching right now, it appears both Summer Fun in the Sun weeks from May 1989 and May 1990 featured two new players all week long. Ergo, a 50 Second Base Time.

Debbie on episode 1 won a car in 31 seconds, but she didn't play again in the November 1990 tournament.
I think it was because Stan broke her record.

The 1990 tournament appears to have had a 25 and a 26 second car win, with the others 32-34 seconds. Maybe she was invited to play in the tourney and turned it down.

I just watched episode 465, and I think that the contestant should have been awarded a win in the bonus round. As time counted down, he had made six matches, and twice failed to make the make the last match that would have definitely won him a Jeep Wrangler. With a "no match" combo exposed (8-14), and one second left on the clock, he shouted out "8-9" not only before the clock went to double zero but also before the buzzer sounded. 8 & 14 closed, and 9 was opened after the the clock went to zero and the buzzer sounded. I think he should have won because he made the correct selection before time was up and the buzzer sounded. Was there a rule that you needed to wait for the doors of the prior selection to be closed before the next call could be considered valid? If so, I do not recall it being articulated, and it is the only reason to not award the win. I thought for sure they would review the tape and award the win. Finally getting around to watching to the TOC, and I have watched the first two episodes.
When I watched the first episode, they gave Lisa a time of 49 seconds, but I thought she could have been given 48. Whatever, not a big deal.
On the second show, Allison was originally timed at 49 seconds, and Alex reported that a tie was not sufficient to advance; Lisa and her 49 second time from the first show would remain the time to beat to win the $25,000.
But then they come back from commercial, and Alex explains that they will use replay to clarify close calls, as needed. Regarding the bonus round, as long as the contestant called the numbers before the time changed, that's time they are awarded. The tape is played, Allison clearly called the last match while the clock read 48, and she is now the player to beat.
While that is certainly fair to Allison, it was not at all fair to Lisa. Using the same standard, and going back and watching the tape from Lisa's Bonus Round, she also clearly called the last match while the clock read 48.
I imagine this ends up not making a difference at all by the end of the TOC because one of the other champions will clearly beat 48 seconds, but it is both inconsistent and unfair to Lisa.
