Holy fuck. Tonight was fun. Witch Doctor down in the first elimination round. Am I surprised at that? Uh... Yeah.

Results from tonight: Yeti defeats Lucky by knockout Minotaur defeats Blacksmith by knockout Bronco defeats Chrome Fly by knockout Red Devil defeats Witch Doctor in a stunning and unexpected knockout Seriously, who saw that last outcome coming? The builders of the losing bot in that last fight of the night made the wrong choice.

You can all thank Obama and "Black Lives Matter" for this: I wish they could've at least pushed it back one hour or the next day, but still, I can't believe this BS. Unbelievable. Thanks Obama!

After a one week hiatus (thanks Obama!), BattleBots is back and here are the results of the four fights tonight: Warhead defeats Complete Control in a spectacular knockout Razorback defeats wild card Ghost Raptor by knockout Tombstone easily shreds Escape Velocity in an easy knockout Poison Arrow stuns Son of Whyachi in spectacular fashion, getting a KO win
Two weeks, two big upsets, and in the same quadrant too. That part of the bracket is completely wide open now. I think Hypershock will win that section of the bracket and face Bronco or Minotaur.
I can't believe the height that Whyachi got when it made contact with Poison Arrow's drum. That was insane! Though the fight of the night easily goes to Warhead vs Complete Control. The hits in that fight were awesome. Seeing Warhead hit CC with the blade while riding on said blade is one of the greatest things I've ever seen in BattleBots. You have to see it to believe it. Trust me, it was awesome and so was CC going up in flames. That was beautiful.
Also a little surprised that Ghost Raptor is out already. Razorback did great preventing GR's blade from getting up to full speed. That was a good fight by Razorback, but now it's time to get embarrassed by Bronco.

I won't be surprised if PA takes that quadrant, but I still think Hypershock will take it now that Witch Doctor and SOW are out. Hypershock is powerful and it almost beat last year's champion in season 1 before breaking near the end.

Sorry, I screwed up the post. I accidentally put my intended spoiler inside the quote and I don't know how to delete the blank spoiler. How do remove a spoiler here?

I edited out the second spoiler. Thanks. I'm also interested to see if Cobalt can do anything in that quadrant. That blade looks vicious, even though it broke in its fight against Overhaul.

Too much backstory, too few battles, leads to too many battle summaries. Not liking the format of the show too much. Only 4 full battles per hour is not enough.

I almost forgot to post tonight's results. Here it goes. Beta defeats Overhaul by knockout HyperShock defeats Warrior Clan by knockout Mega Tento defeats Stinger by controversial split decision Chomp defeats Captain Shredderator by knockout Nightmare defeats Icewave by knockout Brutus defeats Lock-Jaw by split decision Bombshell defeats Cobalt by knockout BiteForce defeats The Ringmaster by knockout
That decision in the Stinger vs Mega Tento fight was complete BS. Stinger was clearly dominant. Worst decision ever.

Yet, Tento inflicted more damage. I can see how the vote could have gone either way. Either way, neither was/is going to advance much further.

The round of 16 has begun and here are the results of the first four matches: Minotaur defeats Warhead in a spectacular knockout Poison Arrow defeats Hypershock by knockout Bombshell defeats Red Devil in a unanimous judge's decision Bronco defeats Razorback by knockout
Minotaur is vicious. It literally decapitated Warhead! Such a savage bot.
Poison Arrow continues to surprise me. It didn't look impressive this time, but it was good enough to last the full 3 minutes.
Bombshell made a bad choice in weaponry, but Red Devil looked bad tonight. It couldn't do anything.
Bronco continues to show why it might just go all the way. It drove in reverse the entire fight to avoid a front end collision with Razorback's drum spinner and it still caused flips. It actually got Razorback stuck on its side to win the fight. Good stuff.

I accidentally hit backspace when I was below the spoiler and now I can't add this bit below it for some reason. The cursor stays inside the spoiler and I can't go beyond it, so I'll just say it in a different post instead.
There won't be a new episode for the next two weeks because of the Olympics. We'll see reruns of previous season 2 episodes instead. The show continues on August 25 where the rest of the quarterfinals will be set.
