I think this is all of the confirmation that's needed in this (or any other) thread.

I went ahead and retweeted one of Chomp's previous tweets. Trying to help ABC get the message.
Also, reminder that BattleBots returns tonight (as long as politics don't interfere). No more repeats.

Results time! Sorry for the lateness, but here it is: Tombstone defeats Brutus by knockout Beta defeats Nightmare by last second knockout Yeti defeats Mega Tento by fast knockout Chomp stuns season 1 champ Bite-Force by unanimous decision
Not surprised by the first result. Tombstone owned that fight, as expected.
Beta actually lost power to its hammer courtesy of a blade shot by Nightmare. Nightmare looked like it was in control until Beta flipped it over late and Nightmare was counted out with literally 1 second left on the clock. Tough break for the legend.
Yeti's win was no surprise either. It's how fast the fight was that surprised me. Wasn't expecting a quick knockout. Stinger should've been Yeti's opponent.
Even though Chomp flailed around a lot, it landed some good hammer blows on Bite-Force and the first blow actually knocked off the belt for BF's new drum weapon. BF had good control, but didn't have a working weapon to do anything. Chomp had the upper hand in weapon damage dealt with the hammer and flamethrower. I expected this to be a split decision, but alas, Chomp won unanimously.
The quarterfinals are now set. Here are the match-ups:
Tombstone vs. Beta Chomp vs. Yeti Bronco vs. Minotaur Bombshell vs. Poison Arrow

Poison Arrow is still my sleeper pick. I just knew it'd make it to the Quarterfinals.

I looked at the TV schedule on Battlebots' website and it looks like this Thursday night is the last episode of season 2. It will be a 2-hour season finale featuring the quarterfinals, semifinals, finals, and a rumble.
My prediction as to who will win it all: Minotaur. At the start of the season I predicted Bronco would win, but it's facing Minotaur and that extremely powerful drum spinner. I don't see Bronco winning this fight. Whoever wins between Bombshell and Poison Arrow don't have a chance against either bot in my opinion. I'm going to make a very bold prediction and say Chomp gets to the finals as well, but it will lose to Minotaur. Chomp keeps swinging that hammer and getting aggression points while the other bot breaks. I think Chomp will continue to get lucky, but lose in the finals.

Chomp is so funny to watch. It flops around like a fish out of water but always seems to land on its feet and get in some good hits.

This could be a potentially huge spoiler. I found this not too long ago. Either that guy is very lucky or has inside info on this season. That's just, wow. Click/view at your own risk.

If that truly is inside info, then not only does it ruin the surprise for those who have looked at that, but it also tarnishes the legitimacy of fantasy leagues like the one on Battlebots' official website. People who look at that will base their picks off of it.

Unfortunately, I just looked at my TV guide and it looks like I won't be seeing Thursday's episodes because of stupid preseason NFL football with the Colts at Bengals. I swear, living in Ohio is the worst. My local ABC station is going to be hearing it from me, I can assure you of that.

I didn't send anything nasty or hateful. All I did was tweet to my local ABC affiliate telling them that the season finale of BattleBots is more important than a pointless preseason football game because really, it is pointless. Coaches and players are against it, so why have it? All this does is increase the chances of injuries in a season, just ask Tony "My Bones Are Made Of Glass" Romo. I'm sure he hates it after what happened to him in a preseason game a few days ago. I've never been a fan of preseason games in any sport except for that one shootout race in NASCAR (they race at Daytona for a lot of money, I can accept this).
It appears that the only way I can watch this season finale is by searching online. If a lot of people have the same issue, then the ratings are really going to hurt and for a season finale, that might give ABC the idea that no one wants a season 3. I'm sure the ratings for previous episodes might say otherwise, but this is the season finale. I think it HAS to be a big hit ratings wise in order to get renewed for season 3. I hope it does well, but you won't be seeing results from me this Thursday night unless I can find a way to watch it live.

I was able to find a way to watch it, so here it is. The results of the 2-hour season finale: First hour results:
Yeti defeats Chomp by knockout to move into the semis Tombstone defeats Beta by unanimous decision and will face Yeti in the semis Bombshell defeats Poison Arrow by knockout after launching and getting PA stuck on the wall Minotaur defeats Bronco by knockout to face Bombshell
Final hour results:
Bombshell stuns Minotaur and gets a knockout win to move into the finals Tombstone defeats Yeti by judges decision despite losing weapon power
Rumble:
Bite-Force outlasts Witch Doctor and Wrecks
Finals:
Tombstone dismantles Bombshell in less than a minute to win the giant nut
I don't think anyone expected Bombshell to get there. It was a wild card that got embarrassed by Complete Control, but it ditched the ax and it worked up until the Tombstone fight. Not surprised to see Tombstone win it all this time. I thought it was on a collision course with Minotaur, but Bombshell was a huge surprise. Congrats to Tombstone on winning it all. Hopefully we'll get a season 3.

Also, it's good to see that the guy who had the perfect bracket heading into the season finale was wrong in the elite 8. I just wonder if that guy really did have inside info and knew the results, but threw everyone for a curve and got those final fights wrong on purpose to make fantasy leagues interesting. Could've been dumb luck of course, but who knows?
Still, what a fun season. Hopefully season 3 becomes a thing.
