Found out that Paige from episodes 708-710 was one of the first four contestants on the 4/10/85 episode of TPIR that recently premiered on Barker Era, I couldn't make it out but her last name was not Green at the time. In another episode from season 15, Janie Litras from the Larson two-parter was the sixth contestant called on the 11/20/86 episode (it was rerun on GSN)

Currently, just GSN. It never aired on USA. Side-note: A flashback intros guide. I'm guessing that these are grouped by taping sets, even if the exact taping dates may not be known? Only because, I'm currently trying to pinpoint when they made tweaks to the prize sets in March 1985: - The Gallery of Art swaps out for the Montana Ski Trip in Square #10, with the Ski Trip first being seen on March 15 (#384). Because of that, that can't have been done any later than the #382-#387 set.
- The Man's Fur Jacket (worth $2600) also swaps out for the Fur Jacket (worth $2800) in Square #7, though this isn't seen until March 25 (#390).
- San Francisco also swaps out for Tahiti in Square #13, with Tahiti not seen until March 28 (#393).
- And then, in Round 1, the Lake Tahoe Ski Trip swaps out for the Graphic in Square #5, though the Graphic isn't seen until April 9 (#401), the second episode following College Week.
The Motorcycle also had the black slide rather than the red slide on March 27 (#392), but it looks like that was just a one-off not related to these. In any case, I'd gather that all four would have been done at once, with the rotations being why each showed up separately.

Once in a while, I'll add the name brand of the prize if it was won.

I think I like having the Car at #15 in Round 2 better. Peter would always entice the player to take it, in the event he or she got a Move One Space hit, or a Pick A Corner hit. Was there ever really a chance that something would turn up on a Move One Space or Pick a Corner that would ACTUALLY be worth taking more than the Car? Besides the one condition of it being Season 3 which had $500 + One Spin in #1 AND the spin would be needed to stay in the game.

If the Mediterranean Cruise of African Safari appeared on the same board with the car on either side of the Move one Space at the bottom of the board, or if both appeared on the two bottom corners of the board with Pick a Corner was hit, those two trips were worth more than the car. Other than that, no.

Other than that, no. You forgot Double Your $$ + One Spin under any instance where it would have been overly-large ($6000+ or so). Which covers the hypothetical part of the question. Now for the "real" part: Was there ever such a configuration?

How did the producers determine who sits in which position?

My guess is that they drew numbers, the same way they do on Wheel of Fortune. How did the producers determine who sits in which position?
