I know that i saw some 1986 episodes of PYL on USA in 89 or 90 and the champion's name was Anne-Marie, can't remember what month though. They NEVER showed Michael Larson's episodes, though.

That would have been one of 3 episodes, 713-715, 6/23/86 - 6/25/86. She won 3 days and retired with over $62,000.

USA didn't air some from Feb and Mar 1986, Sep 1986, the first couple of weeks in 1983, Larsen and the month leading up to it, the two weeks after Larsen, and the two Xmas weeks of Dec 23 1985-Jan 3 1986.

USA only aired roughly the first week of February 1986, but nothing else from that month. Many of these episodes not aired on USA did eventually air on GSN.
Also, didn't USA skip any weeks from December 1984 and the fall of 1985 that plugged the Home Player Sweepstakes?

No, only Match Game has speed-ups now. Which probably explains the middle six of the eight consecutive episodes of Match Game 74 that are skipped on Buzzr, GSN had no problem airing.

I'd rather have barely noticeable speedups than cuts or not being aired at all.

I do remember USA airing the college week eps from 85,(those were from the 1985 syndication package from Republic Pictures), the ones with Anne-Marie aired in either 89 or 90 and in 93, and the early 1984 episodes(i guess the ones with Susan Veets?)

Gregory Pearsoll says it's possible the reason GSN isn't airing the final three months is because the tapes are all damaged beyond repair, and also says USA didn't air the final month from September 1986. I guess it never occurred to him that likely USA chose not to air the final month. How do three months worth of episodes from Summer 1986 get damaged beyond repair? That doesn't make any sense. Then again, this is the same Gregory Pearsoll who says he heard rumors about September 1983-May 1985 $25,000 Pyramid being damaged beyond repair, which I also question. I'd say those tapes aren't damaged.

Just finished watching today's GameTV broadcast of Press Your Luck, and I noticed something odd on the episode, which originally aired on November 22, 1983. During Round 2, there were two motorcycles on the board in different squares at the same time, and both were hit, but by two different players. I remember reading about an episode later in the run (late 1984 or early 1985, please clarify the date?) with a bracelet appearing on the board twice in Round 1 - were they both hit in the same round? This Thursday's broadcast, is an episode that is notorious for airing only once on GSN, due to a last-minute decision to pre-empt the episode in favor of Steve Harvey.
Thanks for clarifying the situation on the Match Game episodes.

The Annemarie $62,708 winner episodes did air on USA in 1989. The COllege Week shows were part of the 130 episode Republic Pictures syndication package that aired in syndication on some stations between December 1986-September 1987, and USA ran that package from 9/14/87-12/30/88. The College week shows were also rerun by CBS the week of July 28-August 1, 1986, with updated fee plugs.

In fact, they didn't air any of the Home Player shows until 1993, and they didn't air any of the 1st HPG. In addition, the latest show in the run they aired was the 7/25/86 episode, however they did run the CBS re-cuts of the 1984 episodes.

Going to move some threads into their proper sections. First: A PYL thread, that should really go in the AP thread.
