Wonder if something was wrong with Fred's episode, if it didn't have a fur?

Wonder if something was wrong with Fred's episode, if it didn't have a fur? maybe the tape they had couldn't be digitized. It's still on YouTube.

For the record, I don't believe any episodes that used be shown on GSN, but were later skipped, are missing or destroyed. I believe they remain in the Fremantle archive for eternity.

By my count, 10 episodes so far from September 1972 to March 1973 that were on GSN but not Barker Era: 0043D, 0112D, 0113D, 0114D, 0123D, 0133D, 0145D, 0235D, the Fred episode that is presumed to be 0261D and 0284D. 13 if you add the fur episodes of 0011D, 0014D and 0101D
There are 8 more episodes to identify from the range of 0313D to 0465D (April-July 1973) that were not on Youtube before

I know that this is probably expected because of the Bob Barker tribute, but I still find it a bit weird that they are playing a Bob Barker-hosted episode on the Drew Carey Price is Right Pluto TV channel.

Only one episode for May 1973 scheduled: 0362D with the rare pricing game Double Digits (add 0371D to the count of episodes that were on GSN but not Barker Era) followed by some of the last episodes as “The New Price is Right” from June of that year before New was dropped from the show’s title

It's likely that either the 20th or the 21st will be the last day of fresh new content for Season 1, but I don't believe it will be the end of Season 1 episodes since a future batch after the 80s batch could feature some episodes from 0471D-0555D and continue to Season 2 (based on positive feedback of Season 1 from the fans so far). I do believe 0365D and 0371D (two May 1973 episodes) were rerun on GSN around the time they transitioned from one logo to the next logo in March 1997.
Another possibility is that tape damage, not fur coats is the cause for some skipped May 1973 episodes, plus Watergate hearings from May-October 1973 caused pre-emptions and reschedulings that affected this show.

Although it is offered on demand on Pluto, I did see the December 16, 1982 episode on GameTV this past Monday, and I did discover a Showcase which has to do with a cold climate, and guess what the models were wearing? Fur coats!
And I thought Bob and his estate would never allow any episodes with fur coats to be shown again.

Pluto DID begin with the moment furs were stopped offering, so I have no idea how this happened when they did the episode.

Not that I'm a fur expert, but the fur on those coats definitely didn't look real to me.

Well there you go folks - after the second pass of Season 1 episodes, the 60 Season 1 episodes will join the regular rotation beginning in January 2024, based on the positive response from the fans. This indicates to me that future 70s batches will added once they digitize the episodes and sort out what episodes have fur coats.

Drat! I really wanted the channel to continue into 1986. I guess I will have no choice other than to wait.

The channel will be continuing into 1986 soon, as well. That was confirmed. As for more 70s episodes? Wild speculation.
