I find myself giving great clues, (or at least I think they're great)
The 3rd little pigs house for Things made of brick
A young Mayim Bialik for things that blossom (that might get me the dreaded buzzer)

A young Mayim Bialik for things that blossom (that might get me the dreaded buzzer) Nope, no buzzer for that one, but it might get you a confused look from the other player.

Does anyone know what happened in both WC rounds for today's repeat (April 29, 1988---Lewis/Bottoms)?

If everything continues without any skips, I calculate that the $25,000 Pyramid series finale from 1988 should be airing on GSN on Monday March 2, 2015. Then I guess they will probably most likely go back to the first episode of their current lease, which I believe was from the May 1985 week with Patty Duke and Brian Mitchell.

They just aired the July 1, 1988 finale today.
From the comments during the show, I take it this was less expected than their first cancellation from six months earlier.

My favorite radio station growing up also closed up shop in summer '88. It was a dark time then.

The July 3, 2015 repeat had a "HILARIOUS IN HINDSIGHT" moment in round one, as Richard Kline 's team had "Neil Simon" as a clue, and it was Elaine Joyce who would up marrying him in 1999.

i am not sure if this information justifies a spoiler, as i am uncertain if spoilers are only needed for gameplay outcomes or new pricing games on TPIR. If a spoiler was needed, please accept my apologies.
I'm watching the premiere of Dick Clark's $25,000 Pyramid right now. I have to admit, the set looks brighter than what I was used to seeing on GSN since 2009, plus the font on the trilions looks smaller. Plus Dick Clark mentioned the "Mystery 7" as a new twist, which implies such bonus was not featured in the previous version of Pyramid aired on ABC until 1980. Plus there was a high-pitched ding for a right answer, which was carried over from The $20,000 Pyramid, but probably only for a short time.

Watch for the boxes on the Mini-Pyramid (the front game board) to be re-colored into white at the beginning of the 2nd Week. The Winner's Circle boxes wouldn't follow suit, for some reason, until the week of September 19, 1983. Which was also when the started the flashback intros (and was also the premiere of Press Your Luck, sorry I had to say that). The "ding" sound changed into what we're used to hearing at the start of the 5th Week. And lastly, the Mystery 7 would become hidden in the 84th week (April 23-27, 1984).

I wonder if the episode with the Winner's Circle category "Why You Make Love" is included in this latest lease? The episode used to exist on YouTube and is from 1983. I would assume, based on the 200-episode quota for a network game show owned by Sony, that the current lease runs through around the end of June 1983.
There may be a chance that some of the episodes aired as part of the "Play It Back '80s" marathon in 2008 may be part of the current package. If you see any episodes scheduled in the coming months that have an "R" in the "N/R" section of future PDF schedules, chances are they aired during the Play It Back 80s marathon in September 2008.

The "Why You Make Love" episode aired on November 4, 1982.
Also, have you noticed something else? There's no 7-11 in Game 1. They introduced it on April 11, 1983, and originally, they offered contestants the option to Play-It-Safe for $50 per answer. But this was dropped on January 21, 1985.
They also briefly dropped the Mystery 7 on Weeks #021-#023 for a Player of the Week format (a la The $50,000 Pyramid). If a contestant had the fastest time in the front game all week long, he or she won a trip to Greece. This was dropped on February 28, 1983, when it was realized that a champion would have to be disqualified, if his or her reign carried over from one week to another; the Mystery 7 was, at the same time, brought back.
It's safe to assume that all the kinks with The New $25,000 Pyramid were officially ironed out by mid-1985, which was also when they began taping The $100,000 Pyramid for Syndication.

Thanks for clarifying the airdate for the "Why You Make Love" episode. As for your comment on briefly dropping the Mystery 7 in February 1983 in favor of a "Player of the Week" format, noitce the month "February". That is a sweeps period, and such format was likely designed to be a gimmick as an attempt to boost ratings. During the four sweeps periods (February, May, July and November), there is/was usually something that is intended to attract viewership and boost ratings (home player games, tournaments, special weeks with more expensive prizes, etc.). Wouldn't surprise me if there will be repeats from Dream Car Week and #UDecide week on The Price is Right come July. There didn't seem to be any gimmicks during sweeps periods on the Bob Eubanks' version of Card Sharks, maybe except for Young People's Week in February 1987.

Dick Clark mentioned the "Mystery 7" as a new twist, which implies such bonus was not featured in the previous version of Pyramid aired on ABC until 1980. He wasn't wrong: the Big 7 gave the category before being played, whereas the Mystery 7 didn't. The former also only ever offered cash (minus the final season of the syndicated $25,000 when it offered a car), whereas the latter always offered prizes.
